Terms of service
Last updated: 12 September 2026
These Terms apply to enquiries, consultations, quotations and project supply by ZOOMTEC JOINERY. They are read together with the written quotation, drawings, specifications, approved variations and any project agreement. If there is an inconsistency, the project-specific written documents prevail to the extent permitted by law.
Enquiries, consultations and quotations
An enquiry, consultation or preliminary discussion does not create an obligation to supply goods or services. Quotations are based on the information, scope and assumptions stated in them. A quotation is accepted only when it is accepted in writing and any stated preconditions have been met.
Scope, drawings and specifications
The agreed scope is the scope stated in the accepted written quotation and its referenced drawings, specifications and finishes. Images, samples, visualisations and website content are illustrative unless expressly incorporated into the written project documents. Reasonable variations in natural material appearance, finish and presentation may occur; any material performance or visual requirement must be confirmed in the project specification.
Variations
Any requested change after acceptance—including changes to design, dimensions, finishes, appliances, site conditions, access, delivery or installation requirements—may require a written variation. We will advise the expected impact on price, program and scope before the variation is approved and implemented.
Customer and project-team responsibilities
The customer or nominated project representative must provide accurate project information; obtain required decisions and approvals in time; coordinate access and site readiness; and promptly notify us of changes that may affect the agreed scope or delivery. Where builders, designers, architects or other trades are involved, responsibilities and decision authority should be confirmed clearly at the beginning of the project.
Installation support
Any installation service, coordination or support included in a project is only what is expressly stated in the accepted written quotation or project agreement. Site preparation, building works, services, permits and third-party trade works are excluded unless expressly included in writing.
Pricing and payment
Prices, GST treatment, deposits, progress payments, final payment requirements and any delivery or installation charges are set out in the written quotation or project agreement. We may correct a genuine error in a quotation or project document before acceptance. No additional scope or charge will be added without written confirmation, except where required by law or agreed in the governing project documents.
Signature Islands — pre-order and staged payments
A Signature Island Pre-order Request is an invitation for us to review a proposed project. It is not a purchase, payment, order confirmation or promise that we will accept or supply the project.
The published price for a Signature Island is the GST-inclusive price for the stated standard model only. Freight, delivery coordination, site-specific access requirements and installation are not included unless expressly stated in a final written Scope & Quote. Those items are assessed for the specific project and quoted separately, with GST-inclusive totals.
A Signature Island project proceeds only after the final written Scope & Quote has been accepted and any stated preconditions have been met. Unless otherwise stated in that document, the payment schedule is:
1. 10% Project Confirmation Deposit after acceptance of the final Scope & Quote;
2. 70% Production Payment after drawings, specifications, freight and installation arrangements (where applicable) are confirmed in writing, and before production is released; and
3. 20% Final Payment, together with any confirmed freight and installation charges, before dispatch or installation.
Payment requests may be issued as separate invoices for the same project. Each invoice will identify the applicable project, payment stage and GST treatment.
For Signature Islands, order confirmation for production-timing purposes occurs only when we have accepted the final written scope and the 70% Production Payment has cleared. Production timing is estimated at 8–10 weeks after that point. Any delivery or installation date is an estimate unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Consumer law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
